Regional Sales Manager – Building Division

Job Description
Protecto Wrap Company Continues to Be Open and Growing and we are adding a new Regional Sales Manager in our Building Division. As our Regional Manager Building Division, you will be responsible for all aspects of the sales and management of Protecto Wrap building envelope products within the assigned region. Additionally, you will be responsible for the management of the authorized manufacturer’s representatives within the specific territory. The selected candidate will live in the region that they support. You will report to the National Sales Manager for the Building Division. What you will be doing:

  • Grow sales
  • Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing objectives as needed.
  • Manage and direct all activities involving sales of Protecto Wrap Building Products in the Region
  • Represent company at trade shows and customer events to promote products
  • Must be able to present product information in a professional manner to existing customers and to potential customers
  • Manage the authorized manufacturer’s representatives within the region
  • Confer or consult with the marketing department to plan advertising services and to secure information on products and customer specifications
  • Computer proficient and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Provide accurate information to customers regarding product knowledge, technical and pricing
  • Work with the customer service, shipping, and production departments to be sure products are available and shipped in a timely manner
  • Effectively conduct product training at all levels of the sales channel


The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • A firm grasp of building envelope products’ sales process to contractors through a multiple channel distribution in a multi-state region
  • An understanding of residential and commercial construction practices
  • An understanding of state and local building codes for BUILDING ENVELOPE products including energy management


You will establish and maintain relationships with:

  • Wholesale building material distributors
  • Roofing oriented distributors
  • Independent Retail Lumber Yards
  • Waterproofing distributors
  • Building, waterproofing and roofing contractors
  • You will be conversant with product knowledge and technical issues as they relate to:
  • Sheet and Liquid Waterproofing Systems and Installation Practices
  • Flashing Tapes
  • Self-Adhered Roofing Underlayments
  • New Construction Windows Installation and Flashing
  • Air & Vapor Barrier Products and Installation
  • Thru Wall Flashing Products and Installation
  • Air Infiltration Control/Energy Management


Additionally, you will:

  • Work independently and autonomously, while achieving results and exceeding goals
  • Have a proven track record of increasing sales and profitability
  • Possess the ability to resolve distribution channel conflicts
  • Have first-hand experience managing multiple Independent Sales Representative Firms in a multi-state region
  • Be experienced in AIA presentations
  • Possess excellent customer service and presentation skills and effective administration skills


Education and & Experience you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required
  • Minimum 5 + years’ building envelope product or technical selling


Living and Working:

Candidate will live in Texas and be able and willing to travel overnight as needed, typically 50 – 75% of the time.
